Christian Steiger is CEO Business Group Lexware in Freiburg, Germany, built Lexware Office from zero as an intrapreneur and is the author of Das Lena Prinzip, an approach to AI that has the backs of the self-employed. Before that he produced electronic music, including Lift Off!, written with Ben Klug, the track of the Euro-Mir rollercoaster at Europa-Park.

Christian Steiger, born 1973 in Freiburg im Breisgau, is CEO Business Group Lexware and leads the company together with Carsten Block. Lexware is Germany’s market leader in business software. He built lexoffice, today Lexware Office, from zero as an intrapreneur in 2010 and led the innovation division of the Haufe Group until 2019. Das Lena Prinzip has been freely available at das-lena-prinzip.de since 2026: an AI co-CEO for the self-employed, mandating instead of prompting. Before that, from 1993 to 2010, he produced electronic music, mainly between 1997 and 2007, with 23 records of his own and tracks on more than 150 further releases, among them Café del Mar. In 1997 he wrote Lift Off !, the track of the Euro-Mir rollercoaster at Europa-Park, entirely with Ben Klug, plus seven of the ten tracks on the soundtrack album. What drives him: less bureaucracy, clearer figures, decisions that do not sit unfinished at the end of the day.

Christian Steiger was born in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1973 and has stayed close to the city ever since. He studied media informatics at Furtwangen University and graduated in 1999. Alongside his studies he produced electronic music under eighteen names. He began in 1993 with a single keyboard; the main period runs from 1997 to 2007. In those years he released 23 records of his own and appeared on more than 150 further releases, among them Café del Mar; work for other artists appeared until 2010. In 1997 he and Ben Klug wrote Lift Off !, the track that carries the Euro-Mir rollercoaster at Europa-Park, and seven of the ten tracks on the soundtrack album. The album came out on Calren Records in 1997, the Lift Off ! maxi on EAMS in 1998. It still plays there today; the park retires the ride on 9 January 2027. In 1999 he joined the Haufe media group, running eCommerce and later programme and project management. In 2008 he founded Zaplive Media GmbH, a live-streaming platform, three years before Twitch. In 2010 he returned to Haufe, built the Blue Ocean division, accompanied a student team for half a year in the ME310 design thinking programme at Stanford and started the cloud accounting service lexoffice, today Lexware Office, as employee number zero. From 2012 to 2019 he led more than 150 people as head of the innovation division. He is CEO Business Group Lexware and has led the company together with Carsten Block since 2025. More than 650,000 businesses work with its software. His mission: making entrepreneurship simple. That is the idea behind Tell Your Story, an initiative that gives small businesses a stage, and since 2026 behind Das Lena Prinzip, freely available at das-lena-prinzip.de: an AI co-CEO for the self-employed, mandating instead of prompting. Handelsblatt and Badische Zeitung have picked it up. He puts his motive like this: “When the small ones start to be afraid, that is worse than the bureaucracy.” He lives with his family in Freiburg.
